Blake Mallen, Visalus co-founder

Blake Mallen was born on February 2, 1981, in a middle-class suburban home. His father was a Cop and mother a School Principal. He graduated Cum Laude from a Top University with a BS Political Science, Emphasis in Public Law, and Minor in Psychology, and got many other formal knowledge. But seams his unformal, living knowledge was crucial to his success. Blake mallen worked in a multi-level marketing firm The Free Network untill 1997. when Blake and his friend Nick Sarnicola started new company, Visalus Sciences. They both devoted all their time into promoting ViSalus products in Northern California. And that was the real hit. Visalus sells
its product through a network of independent distributors who pay a start-up package fee to join the company's sales. Distributors who qualify for commissions are compensated based on sales of products but also from sales made by any distributors they recruit. Visalus Sciences primary product is Vi-Shake, and there is Vi-Pak energy supplement, and Neuro energy drink. In 2012, ViSalus was awarded the DSN Bravo Growth Award by Direct Selling News for having a seven-fold sales (from $34 million to $231 million) in 2010-2011 period. It's growth is reasonable when we have on mind an increase in the number of Vi distributors (to 59,000 in 2011. from 8,000 in 2010.).
